We are grateful to have found such a small, intimate community so close to home.

Five years ago, our father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and recently we faced what may be the most heart-wrenching decision our family has ever had to make together.

For 25 years, we’ve called Anthem home. We’ve driven past Anthem Senior Living countless times, never imagining that one day we would walk through those doors seeking help for someone we love so deeply. When that day finally came, we were overwhelmed—drowning in guilt, grief, confusion, and doubt that seemed to pull us in every direction at once.

That’s when we met Sam Ile. With extraordinary kindness and understanding, Sam helped us see what our hearts were struggling to accept: that choosing professional care for our dad wasn’t giving up—it was giving him what he truly needed. Sam gently reminded us that by entrusting his daily care to those who are trained and devoted to this calling, we could reclaim something precious: the ability to simply be his children again. To hold his hand, share stories, and treasure our remaining time together, rather than being consumed by the exhausting demands of caregiving.

We are grateful to have found such a small, intimate community so close to home. Knowing that our dad is just minutes away brings us immeasurable comfort. We can visit whenever our hearts need to see him, share a meal, or simply sit together and share memories. This move has transformed what could have felt like a separation into something that feels more like an extension of home—and for that, we are grateful.
