Our family cannot speak highly enough about Anthem Senior Living! Sam and his amazing team from the start have been welcoming, caring, supportive, compassionate and professional. Mom was living alone in another state and when it was time to ensure her daily care needs would be met, we had concerns with finding a place we could trust for mom who deserves to live out her life with the very best care in a clean, loving, compassionate environment. We started to search for an AFH and we met with Sam and his team and knew right away that mom would be in great hands….and the home is beautiful and clean. Sam and his team helped every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition. When we arrived, Sam and his team greeted mom with a warm and loving welcome. Mom was resistant to leave her home of 58 years and we did not know what to expect, but after a couple of weeks in her new home she told us that she should have done this 2-years ago, which was so great to hear! Mom loves the attention and the care she receives, loves the meals, having her hair and nails done and massages! Mom is no longer alone and we appreciate how Anthem Senior Living staff fosters a strong sense of comradery among the residents. Mom is happy and looks great given all the care and attention she receives daily! We are so thankful that we found this beautiful and loving place for mom and we will forever be grateful to Sam and his team who we now consider our extended family! Anthem Sanctuary has been an amazing place for my mom. The staff are not just employees but like family and give so much of themselves to each resident. From the first conversation I had with Anthem Senior Manors Director Sam, I knew this was the perfect place for my Dad. Sam provided me with a complete look into the type of care my father would receive but it didn’t end there. All of my questions were thoughtfully and thoroughly answered and the residence itself is just beautiful! Since Dad has been there he’s participated in activities, made friends, enjoyed wonderful meals and loved showing his visitors his great new home. We, as a family know his care is always at the forefront of everything they do and we couldn’t have asked for more.
The chaos that has become our life stopped after stepping into Anthem Senior Manor and meeting Sam, the owner. I was also welcomed immediately by managers Carlos and Tracey. Both of my parents were living in Washington and after numerous health emergencies, enough was enough, I needed and wanted them closer. My mother suffers from Alzheimer’s, frightening for the person as well as the family. My father has many health issues including dementia.
From the first day he was placed in ASM, I never questioned my decision. I instantly felt the love, comfort, and reassurance from Sam that my dad was in good hands. Sam expressed several times I could always reach out with questions and concerns, and he would be there. Good to his word, he has been. I can’t sugar coat my dad’s personality. He is strong willed, quick to anger, and stubborn. Giving up your independence and moving into a home with others is a big deal. Despite his many flareups, the caregivers have always treated him with respect.
My dad arrived with his prior caregiver from Washington at deaths door. Jana, the houses NP, quickly, efficiently, and professionally diagnosed and ran tests to get his health stabilized. I have never met any medical professional more on top of geriatric medicine than Jana. She is persistent and never gives up. Tracey and Carlos are always working behind the scenes making sure everyone receives the best care possible.
After getting my dad settled my mom arrived, moving her from another care facility having finally settled in her previous home, I was worried she would have a hard time adjusting to the move. You see my mom is an only child that went from college to marriage never living alone. Her Alzheimer’s is very advanced to the point she was forgetting who my dad was. It was hard to be patient waiting for another room to open at ASM. My parents have been married for 66 years and are now reunited living under the same roof at ASM. They have been together for a month now. The house sends pictures showing me the activities my mom is involved in. She is not one to sit still and likes to be involved, which can be taxing on anyone, but the skilled caregivers pick up on those cues and redirect and focus her attention on other things.
A cute story, once she was having a bad day when my dad was out of the house. Carlos put her in the car to run errands and played music from her generation so she could sing along. All her worries in that moment subsided. That’s just one of the many sweet gestures that I have witnessed. To say the least, my mom has adjusted well.
For anyone seeking a place for a loved one, look no further than one of Sam’s homes. Each is operated by people who will treat your loved ones with love, care, compassion, and dignity. Sam and his care team have developed a culture that is incredible. It can only be understood by experiencing it. The difference in their operation is noticeable in small details. Each new resident is greeted with the red-carpet service. The home is immaculate. The caregivers are exceptional in every way.

Our mom has now been a resident at ASL for nearly 6 months. The first 3 months were especially stressful and difficult not only for mom, but our whole family. With mom’s recent dementia diagnosis, coupled with her decline in physical mobility, we chose ASL to support her, and us, with her changing needs. We are incredibly thankful we did! Sam, Tracey, Carlos, NP Jana (not to mention the responsive and caring team of caregivers) all helped us to navigate this new chapter for mom and in turn, helped us all to get our lives back on track!
